Pareto & Mowana Group needed to launch their newly developed corporate values proposition internally — creating genuine understanding, excitement, and personal commitment across a distributed workforce. Social Wiiv deployed the Employee Experience Platform as the end-to-end campaign tool: from pre-awareness and countdown, through the live-streamed launch event, to team photo and values pledge video challenges.
Pareto & Mowana Group had developed a new corporate values proposition — a framework designed to define how the company and its people conduct themselves every day, and how these values should be woven into both working life and personal behaviour. But a values document alone doesn't change a culture. The challenge was to launch these values in a way that felt genuinely engaging, personally meaningful, and memorable — not a top-down policy broadcast.
With 117 employees spread across 8 offices around South Africa, the campaign also needed to bridge a geography problem: the launch had to feel unified and simultaneous across every location, without requiring everyone to be in the same room.
"Values on a poster don't change behaviour. We needed our people to own these values — to understand them, be excited about them, and personally commit to them. That required a different approach."
— Pareto & Mowana Group LeadershipSocial Wiiv deployed the Employee Experience Platform as the single tool for the entire values launch campaign — running from pre-awareness and anticipation building, through the live-streamed launch event, to on-the-day engagement activities and personal pledge challenges. Every employee at all 8 offices participated through the same platform, at the same time.
All 117 employees received login credentials and were onboarded onto the Employee Experience Platform. Platform incentives encouraged early engagement. A countdown timer built visible anticipation toward launch day.
The launch event at Head Office was live-streamed through the platform — restricted to registered employees only. Staff at remote offices watched on their mobile devices or projected it in their boardroom, ensuring every office experienced the launch simultaneously.
Following the live event, group photo challenges and individual video pledge activities kept employees engaged with the values content — translating the launch momentum into personal commitment and team culture building.
The Social Wiiv Employee Experience Platform served as the complete digital environment for the campaign — housing values content, communications, live interaction tools, and the social challenge timelines all in one branded, employee-only space.
Dedicated video articles explaining each of the 4 core values — watchable at any time on mobile or desktop, available to all employees across all offices.
The corporate Values Manuals were converted into interactive digital flip magazines — allowing employees to browse the full values documentation in an engaging, mobile-friendly format.
Questionnaires tested employees' knowledge and understanding of the new corporate values — reinforcing learning and identifying areas where additional communication was needed.
Platform-wide announcements kept all 117 employees informed of upcoming campaign activities, launch event details, and post-event content — replacing scattered email chains.
Surveys captured employee sentiment on current corporate communication and values alignment challenges — providing leadership with honest baseline data before and after the launch.
The corporate values launch event was live-streamed directly through the platform — accessible only to verified employees. Remote offices watched on mobile or projected into boardrooms for a shared launch experience.
A dedicated white-label RSVP system was deployed with a custom domain and branded email address, powered by SMTP delivery with custom HTML email templates. Employees confirmed attendance (including for those at remote offices watching the live stream) and received all communications through the branded platform — maintaining a unified brand experience from the first invite to the last post-event survey.
Before launch day, the platform ran a structured pre-awareness campaign to ensure all employees were active on the platform and genuinely curious about what was coming. Platform incentives rewarded early engagement with the values content — encouraging employees to watch video articles, read the flip magazines, and complete quizzes before the launch event. A live countdown timer on the platform dashboard built visible, day-by-day anticipation toward launch day across all 8 offices.
Following the live-streamed launch event, two structured group activities brought the values to life through personal participation — asking employees not just to watch and listen, but to create content and make a public commitment.
Employees divided into groups of 5 and took a team photo together. Each group then shared their photo to the Photo Challenge Timeline on the platform — tagging all members in the post. Other employees could interact with each photo using Comments, Likes, and Love reactions, creating a real-time social feed of team moments across all 8 offices.
Every employee recorded a personal "I Pledge Values" video on their phone — a public, individual commitment to the new corporate values. A 5–10 minute break gave each employee time to record their pledge, with colleagues helping each other capture their videos. All pledges were submitted to the Video Challenge Timeline, visible to the entire organisation. Comments, Likes, and Love reactions encouraged cross-office support and recognition.
"Watching the Video Challenge timeline fill up with 117 individual 'I Pledge Values' videos — from Cape Town to Nelspruit — made the launch feel real in a way that a meeting or email never could. Every person was visible, every commitment was public."
— Pareto & Mowana Group HR TeamThe Social Wiiv Employee Experience Platform gave Pareto & Mowana Group the infrastructure to turn a corporate document into a lived cultural moment — one that every employee participated in, regardless of which office they sat in.
The pre-awareness phase ensured that on launch day, employees across all 8 offices already had context — they had watched the value videos, browsed the flip magazines, and completed quizzes. The live stream made the launch event simultaneous and shared, eliminating the usual sense of exclusion felt by employees at remote offices. And the photo and video challenges created a social proof layer — a visible record of each individual's commitment, accessible to every colleague across the organisation.
The platform continued to serve as the ongoing internal communications tool after launch day — housing values content, announcements, and survey data in a single persistent space available to all employees.
"The countdown timer alone changed the energy in the office. People were talking about it before we even told them what it was for. That's the power of building anticipation before you reveal the message."
— Pareto & Mowana Group LeadershipWhether it's a values launch, culture initiative, internal campaign, or company-wide event — Social Wiiv can deploy a fully white-labeled Employee Experience Platform that reaches every employee, at every office, at the same time.
