Third-party ticketing was costing Truth their data, their margin, and their customer relationships.

Truth Nightclub was using third-party platforms like Howler to manage their event ticketing. On the surface this worked — events went on sale and tickets were sold. But beneath that, Truth was operating blind. Third-party platforms retain control of customer data, meaning Truth never had full access to the email addresses, phone numbers, and purchase histories of the people attending their events. Every ticket sold was building someone else's database, not their own.

The cost structure also didn't add up. Per-ticket transaction fees to third-party platforms were eating into margins, and the features available — pricing control, promoter management, access control, sponsorship advertising — were either unavailable or required additional platform costs. Truth needed to own their ticketing infrastructure outright.

1. White Label Platform

The entire platform runs on Truth's own custom domain — not a Social Wiiv subdomain, not a Howler embed. Every touchpoint — from the event listing page through to ticket purchase confirmation — carries Truth's branding, colours, and typography. Customers interact with a Truth product throughout, and all data flows directly into Truth's CRM.

2. Ticketing Platform & Ticket Options

The core ticketing engine was built with the full complexity of a venue like Truth in mind — phased pricing that auto-advances, multiple ticket types, bundle configurations, per-order limits, ticket allocation to friends via WhatsApp, and the ability to upgrade a ticket after purchase.

Each phase has its own start date, end date, and ticket allocation. If a phase sells out before its end date, the platform automatically opens the next phase — no manual intervention required. Phases can also be configured to close by date even if not sold out.

General Access
Standard admission ticket with up to 4 configurable pricing phases — Early Bird, Phase 1, Phase 2, and Door. Each phase auto-advances on sell-out or expiry date.
VIP
Premium admission tier with its own allocation and pricing. General Access holders can upgrade to VIP post-purchase and pay only the price difference.
Table Booking
Bundle ticket — e.g. 6 admission tickets + 1 Spirit Bottle or Drinks Tab included in one price. Additional tickets within the bundle are distributed to guests via WhatsApp.
Ticket Limitations — set the total number of tickets per ticket type, and the maximum number of tickets a single customer can purchase per order
Ticket Allocation & WhatsApp Transfer — if a customer buys multiple tickets or a bundle, additional tickets can be sent to friends via WhatsApp link. Friends must register on Truth to accept — linking the ticket to their own Truth Passport
Ticket Upgrade — customers can upgrade their ticket type post-purchase (e.g. General Access → VIP) and pay only the price difference directly through their account

3. Full CMS & Banner Advertising

Truth's team manages the entire platform through a full content management system — creating and editing events, managing ticket types and allocations, and publishing banner ad placements for brand sponsors without requiring any developer involvement.

Truth's team onboards online promoters who drive ticket sales via their own promo codes and custom URLs — earning commission on every ticket sold through their link. A two-tier manager/promoter structure keeps commissions organised and payable through the platform.

The shift from third-party to owned infrastructure changed the commercial model fundamentally. Transaction fees that were previously paid to Howler are now configured to pass through to the customer — keeping ticket revenue clean. The online promoter system created an incentivised distribution network of individuals actively selling Truth tickets and earning commission. And the email campaign tool means Truth can market directly to their full registered database with no per-send costs or platform restrictions.

The 30-second QR refresh on the Truth Passport eliminated the most common form of ticket fraud at nightclub events — screenshot sharing — without adding friction for legitimate ticket holders. Staff scanner management ensures the right access levels are in place across the full door team.
